Used Nissan Elgrand

Nissan Elgrand

The Nissan Elgrand is known by many names. Produced from 1997 through 2002, the Elgrand came to be known as the Isuzu Filly, the Isuzu Fargo Filly, the Nissan Homy Elgrand, and the Nissan Caravan Elgrand. A luxury van sold primarily in Japan and other markets all over Asia, the Elgrand was available in either 7- or 8-passenger variants. This van boasted of rear wheel drive capabilities as well. The first generation Elgrand vans are powered by the VG33E engine coupled with the older 4-speed automatic transmission. The engine itself was an Inline four 16-valve with a DOHC valve train. However, the first generation ones cannot really brag about having modern equipment, such as Xenon headlamps and a keyless go feature. Thus, these features and other modern features were integrated into the face lifted second-generation Elgrand vans. This time around, 2 variants are offered – the Elgrand XL and Elgrand Highway Star. As mentioned above, the second-generation vans come with a variety of high-end features that make the used Nissan Elgrand quite the impressive package. One of these features is the AFS or the Active Front Lighting System. Interestingly, this feature can also be found in the Toyota Estima/Previa – its 3rd generation models, to be exact. On the outside, you can get the Elgrand in six various colors for the taking. It also comes with Xenon headlamps and twin sunroofs. The headlamps, in particular, come with auto on-off features. This is very handy since there is always that time when we are in a hurry to just get out of the car and into the house to relax after a hard day at work. The Elgrand understands this and strategically integrates this feature to make things a little bit easier. Its exterior has certainly changed much compared to its predecessor. This time, the Elgrand is equipped with side mirrors bearing signal lights, remote controlled electronic doors, 16” aluminum alloy wheels for the XL trim, 17” ones for the HWS trim, and a rear roof spoiler. The new styling for its front gives the Elgrand quite the sporty ambience. For its interior, you actually get captain seats, a massive 9-speaker Bose sound system, and a high-end DVD player complete with a 9-inch screen. Moreover, it comes with an 8-inch LCD monitor in its dashboard that is part of its VIS or Vehicle Information System. Both trims feature heated driver and passenger seats, electronic curtains, and wood-grained leather steering wheel. Clearly, the Elgrand from Nissan spells comfort for all of its users.
